Norcsalordie - more than just a band - an exciting way of looking at Traditional Folk Music through younger eyes. Formed of musicians a good three decades younger than the majority of those performing folk music today

Norcsalordie bring with them a contemporary set of influences and a commitment to making the music accessible and entertaining not only to dyed in the wool folkies but to the younger generation for whom folk music might otherwise remain an irrelevance

Having travelled the country building up their reputation as a duo for four years, ruffling a few traditionalist feathers along the way, the boys entered the studio for the first time to produce their CD Post to Pillar with session musicians

The album consisting almost entirely of their own compositions was launched to the public at the Riverside Festival and the Big Session in Leicester during June 2009 with the five piece Norcsalordie Band.

The result is the same vibrant musical philosophy with a richer, rounder sound very much in touch with both traditional folk roots and the music of the younger generation
